My project results – part 5 of 6
I live. I am righteous. I have a heavenly body. I am now in the kingdom of God. So it raised an interesting question. God, what do I now do? If I’m going to live 200 years on the earth or 2,000 years, what is the plan? How do I spend my time?
God showed me I follow Jesus. I am baptized. I die. I am resurrected. I sit on a throne. I am a king. I reign. (see Revelation 5:9-10)
How do I rule? I rule by speaking. The word of a king has power. (see Ecclesiastes 8:4) We receive power when the Holy Spirit comes. (see Luke 24:49)
I will give you the keys of the kingdom of the heavens, and whatever you bind on earth shall occur, having been bound in the heavens, and whatever you loose on earth shall occur, having been loosed in the heavens. (see Matthew 16:19)
I am born a spirit. The Holy Spirit now dwells in me. (See John 3:6, John 14:17) My spirit speaks a new language. (see Acts 2:1-4) I speak mysteries. I speak the plans of God. (see 1 Corinthians 14:2, 1 Corinthians 2)
Jehovah takes pleasure in his people, he adorns the humble with salvation. Let exult the saints in glory, let them sing aloud on their beds, the exaltation of God in their throats, and a two-edged sword in their hand, to execute vengeance on the nations, punishment on the peoples, to bind their kings with chains and their nobles with bands of iron, to execute on them the judgment written. This honor is for all his saints. Praise Jehovah! (Psalm 149:4-9)
I have a two-edged sword. The sword of the spirit, the word of God. When I pray in spirit I take up that sword and use it. (see Ephesians 6:17-18, Hebrews 4:12)
We are binding kings and nobles to the will of God. We are ruling the earth.
This is the honor of all the saints. It’s an incredible honor!
We can say as King David: the spirit of Jehovah has spoken by me and his word is on my tongue (2 Samuel 23:2 INT)
The God of Israel has spoken, the Rock of Israel has said to me: When one rules justly over men, ruling in the fear of God, he dawns on them like the morning light, like the sun shining forth upon a cloudless morning, like rain that makes grass to sprout from the earth. (2 Samuel 23:3-4 RSV)
Jesus’ voice sounds like many waters. And out of his mouth proceeds a sharp two-edge sword. (see Revelation 1:15-16)
Christians drink living water (the Holy Spirit) and out of our belly flows rivers of living water. (see John 7:37-39). Jesus’ voice sounds like many waters because many Christians seated with Jesus on his throne are speaking. We are in Christ. The sharp two-edged sword proceeding out of the mouth of Jesus is the word of God we are speaking.
The reward for humility and the fear of the Lord is riches and honor and life. (Proverbs 22:4 RSV) Our honor is to reign.
What did God most want me to know? I am a King in the Kingdom of God. I am seated with Christ on his throne. God honors me. He gives me rule of the earth by what I speak.
